Shaffer Chimere Smith (nacido el 18 de octubre de 1982 en Camden, Arkansas, aunque creció en Las Vegas, Nevada) es un cantante de R&B y compositor de canciones. Es más conocido por Ne-Yo. Actualmente pertenece a Def Jam Records. Consiguió mucho reconocimiento tras co-escribir el tema "Let Me Love You" de Mario, todo un éxito a finales de 2004 y principios de 2005. Comenzó su propia carrera profesional en 2005 con su álbum debut "In My Own Words", lanzado a principios de 2006 y debutando #1 en Billboard 200.
