Minus The Bear es una banda indie rock/rock alternativo de Seattle formada en el año 2001 con seis LP's lanzados hasta la fecha y otros tantos EP's, siendo el EP "This Is What I Know About Being Gigantic" su debut estrenado a finales de 2001 a través de Suicide Squeeze Records. El nombre del grupo procede de una broma privada entre los miembros de la banda.
Cuentan con curiosos títulos en algunos de sus temas, con ejemplos que incluyen "Hey, Wanna Throw Up?"
