Biografía:
Nacido un 13 de septiembre de 1944 en Windy City, Cetera se encontraba en una banda llamada The Exceptions a fines de 1967 cuando fue reclutado por otro grupo, en ese entonces llamado Chicago Transit Authority, para tocar bajo.
A principios de los ‘70, Chicago ya era uno de los grupos más populares de Estados Unidos con su estilo de jazz-rock, con hits como “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?” y “Saturday in the Park”, muchos de ellos con Cetera en voces.
