Biografía:
Opeth es una banda sueca cuyo estilo oscila entre el progressive metal, el Progressive rock y el death metal, formada en 1990 en Estocolmo (Suecia).
Su estilo es reconocible por elementos no demasiado comunes en el death metal: interludios de guitarra acústica, voces limpias, baladas, etc. Este original concepto sonoro ha atraído la atención de aficionados al Doom Metal, Black Metal, Death Metal, y Progressive Metal;
El nombre del grupo proviene de una novela titulada Sunbird, de Wilbur Smith.
