Biografía:
Este pianista y compositor argentino ha trabajado la mayor parte de su carrera para el cine italiano con grandes como Fellini o Pasolini. Su reconocimiento internacional llegó con "Il Postino" (El Cartero) (1995) de Michael Radford, con la que ganó un Oscar. Su victoria se ció unida a un gran asombro al vencer dos memorables obras musicales de James Horner que también estaban nominadas: Braveheart y Apollo 13.
También es conocido por sus bandas sonoras a las películas de Django, La muerte de un presidente y Gran duelo al amanecer.
