Biografía:
Mitski Miyawaki nació en Japón el 27 de septiembre de 1990, de padre estadounidense y madre japonesa. Desde temprana edad vive inmersa en la música folk, música del mundo (de su padre) y J-pop de los 70. Debido al trabajo de su padre, la familia se muda de residencia con frecuencia, Turquía, China, Malasia y la República Democrática del Congo hasta fijarla en Nueva York. Ingresó en Hunter College University para estudiar cine, luego cambió a música en el conservatorio Purchase College, donde estudió composición.1?2?
