Integrante y compositor de Linkin Park que ha lazado su carrera en solitario
Nació el 11 de febrero de 1977 en Agoura, California. Sus antepasados son japoneses que emigraron a partir de la II Guerra Mundial. Su padre es japonés (Leslie Shinoda) y su madre (Kim Shinoda) posee algo de sangre nativa americana.
Fue criado en Los Ángeles en el suburbio de Agoura, donde residió durante toda su vida pre-adulta.Tiene un hermano llamado Jason Shinoda.
