Biografía:
El 16 de agosto de 1996 Michael Kiske publica su primer disco en solista llamado Instant Clarity y tres años después de dejar a los padres del power metal Helloween. El disco fue editado por una discográfica japonesa llamada Victor y contenía colaboraciones con Kai Hansen (de Gamma Ray) y Adrian Smith (de Iron Maiden). Con ese disco también se publicó un videoclip para el tema "Always" que fue rodado en Nueva York.
