Biografía:
Nacido como Max Elliot en 1962 en Londres, el cantante Maxi Priest se convirtió en uno de los cantantes más populares de reggae desde Bob Marley.
Su enfoque no era puro, sino una mezcla de arreglos R&B con sonido reggae, lo que permitió que sus temas tuvieran un público universal y ocuparan las listas de éxitos.
En 1985 debutó con Virgin con el LP "You're Safe", pero fue la edición de 1985 del terma de Cat Stevens "Wild World" la que se convirtió en un éxito en América.
