[Intro]

G

[Verse 1]

D C G
You thought you'd see how green the grass it grew
D C G
On the other side that divides me from you
Am G
You said I held you back from bigger things
A D
Now that you're running wild, you're running back to me

[Chorus]

C
How the mighty have fallen
G
Like they do every time
C
And to me you come crawling
D
With your crown at your side
C
You were high on your mountain
G
Now it's back to the farm
D
How the mighty have fallen
G
Right back into my arms

[Interlude]

D C G G
D C G G

[Verse 2]

D C G
I never meant to keep you from being you
D C G
But I know that's an easier thing to say than do
Am G
You brushed me off and said I'd never grow
A D
Now that you're on your knees, you're smaller than before

[Chorus]

C
How the mighty have fallen
G
Like they do every time
C
And to me you come crawling
D
With your crown at your side
C
You were high on your mountain
G
Now it's back to the farm
D
How the mighty have fallen
Am
Right back into my arms
D
How the mighty have fallen
G
Right back into my arms
