Después de dar carpetazo a esa locomotora de country-rock con vistas al folk que fue Songs: Ohia, Jason Molina no perdió el tiempo y de un día para otro fundó Magnolia Electric Co., proyecto que le permitía cambiar de pellejo sin dejar de investigar con paciencia y dedicación en las profundidades del country alternativo. Bautizado con el mismo nombre que dio título a la última grabación en directo de Songs: Ohia, la más reciente reencarnación de Molina se presentó en sociedad con una grabación en directo de “Trials & Errors” y
