Lutan Fyah, es un joven, que no empezó en la iglesia, ni viajó a Kingston a probar fortuna con los productores. Rastafari des del bachillerato, toca regularmente guitarra, teclado y el tambor kette, y compone la mayoría de sus letras. Originario de St. Catherine, destacó jugando a futbol desde bien pequeño, llegando a jugar profesionalmente en la Primera Nacional jamaicana con el De La Vega y el Constant Spring.
