Elizabeth Lowell Boland, mais conhecida como Lowell, é uma cantora e compositora canadense. Originalmente de Calgary, Alberta, Boland mudou-se para Toronto, Ontário, aos 18 anos para estudar música na Universidade de Toronto, mas logo desistiu e passou um tempo trabalhando como stripper, de sob o nome "Sara Victoria". Durante este tempo, ela começou a escrever algumas demos no ukelele, que chamaram a atenção da agente musical canadense Mike Dixon.
