Lou Bega es el apodo de David Lobega, nacido en Múnich el 13 de abril de 1975 y es conocido por su versión de la canción de Pérez Prado, "Mambo Número 5".
Tiene ascendencia multicultural: su madre italiana y padre ugandés. Pasó su infancia en Miami.
Su hit "Mambo Número 5", fue un suceso mundial en el año 1999, llegó al top 5 en Europa y luego en Estados Unidos.
