Biografía:
Frizzell nasceu em Corsicana, Texas, mas se mudou com sua família logo após seu nascimento para El Dorado, Arkansas, onde o Frizzells permaneceu até o início dos anos 1940. Frizzell começou a tocar guitarra como um menino. Por 12 anos, ele foi exibido regularmente em um programa infantil na rádio local KELD-AM. A família voltou para o Texas Frizzell quando ainda era um adolescente, a sua carreira musical de receber um impulso significativo quando ganhou um concurso de talentos em Dallas.
