Biografía:
Banda originaria de Palm Spring, California. Nacida en 1989, creadores junto a su productor, del sonido Stoner Rock o Desert Rock.
El nombre Kyuss se pronuncia "Kigh-us", y proviene de un personaje de Dungeon & Dragons, "Son Of Kyuss", que utilizarían como nombre de su primer EP llamado "Son Of Kyuss". La formación se basaba en John García (voz), Josh Homme (guitarra), Chris Cockrell (bajo) y Brant Bjork (batería). Este contendría gran parte de las canciones de su siguiente álbum, y salió únicamente en vinillo, de edición limitada.
