Kids In Glass Houses

The Best Is Yet To Come

by Kids In Glass Houses
Kids In Glass Houses

CAPO 3

Intro: C Am F G

C
It started with the sun in your eyes
Am
The devil in your foot and in your thighs
F G
A pocket full of notes and a head of lies it's no good for you
C
Wrestle with the questions in your head
Am
Fumble with the stranger in your bed
F
Condemn it to the great abyss instead?
G
Whatever suits you

Am G F
'Cause in the dark we do our worst (Turn the lights out, turn the lights out)
Am G F
You'll be my last I'll be your first(Turn the lights out, baby turn the lights out)
C G F G
Lay down slowly don't you fool me 'cause I don't wonna be alone tonight,
Am
The best is yet to come
G F
The best is yet to come

C
It finished with the stars in your eyes
Am
Jesus on your breath and in your bite
F
Listen to the pleading and the cries
G
Make a chorus of you
C
Wrestle with the questions in your head
Am
They interrupt your sleep and fill your bed
F
Fuck yourself into the record books instead
G
It’s what you were born to do

Am G F
Cause in the dark we do our worst
Turn the lights out, turn the lights out
Am G F
You’ll be my last, I’ll be your first
Turn the lights out, baby, turn the lights out

C G F G
Lay down slowly don't you fool me 'cause I don't wonna be alone tonight,
The best is yet to
C G F G
come now baby don't be hasty, 'cause I don't wonna be alone tonight
Am
The best is yet to come
G C
The best is yet to come

C
The promises, the promises we made
G
Another great, another great mistake
Am
A little love, a little bit more hate
F
It’s just about as much as I can take

C
The promises, the promises we made
G
Another great, another great mistake
Am
A little love, a little bit more hate
F
It’s just about as much as I can take

C G F G
Lay down slowly don't you fool me 'cause I don't wonna be alone tonight,
The best is yet to
C G F G
come now baby don't be hasty, 'cause I don't wonna be alone tonight
Am
The best is yet to come
G F
The best is yet to come
G Am
The best is yet to come
G C
The best is yet to come
