Biografía:
Kelly Joe Phelps es un bluesman o folk-singer a la antigua usanza. Originario de Oregón (EEUU) realiza su primera grabación con 34 años. En todas sus grabaciones canta acompañado por su guitarra con la que emplea una soberbia técnica de slide (sentado con la tapa de la guitarra sobre sus piernas y pulsando sobre los trastes como si fuese un steel pedal); en los últimos trabajos se hace acompañar de una pequeña banda, siempre acústica (violín, percusión, armónica, acordeón, contrabajo.
