Biografía:
John Martin Maher nació el 31 de octubre de 1963 en Ardwick, Mánchester,Inglaterra. Mejor conocido por su nombre artístico Johnny Marr, es un compositor, guitarrista, armoniquista, teclista y cantante inglés. Marr alcanzó la fama en los '80 al ser el guitarrista de The Smiths, donde formó gran amistad y fué influido por Morrissey. También fue miembro de The The, Electronic, The Healers, Modest Mouse y The Cribs.
Billy Duffy, guitarrista de The Cult, enseñó a Marr a tocar guitarra.
