Biografía:
Holt nació en Kingston in 1947. A la edad de 12 años, era un candidato regular en concursos de talentos que se realizaban en teatros de Jamaica por Vere Johns. Grabo su primer sencillo en 1963 titulado "I Cried a Tear" por el productor Leslie Kong, tambien grabo duetos con Alton Ellis. El logro mas importante que tuvo en su tierra como cantante fue el trabajo que realizo como vocalista principal de la agrupacion llamada The Paragons, con quienes disfruto y realizo un gran numero de hits
