Biografía:

John Cameron Mitchell (21 de abril, 1963). Escritor, actor y director de cine estadounidense.

Nació en El Paso, Texas. Hijo de un general retirado del Ejército de los Estados Unidos, creció en bases militares y en Colorado Springs en Colorado, donde asistió a escuelas católicas. Su madre es de Escocia y emigró a los Estados Unidos cuando era joven.

En 1998, Mitchell escribió y protagonizó Hedwig and the Angry Inch, un musical sobre Hedwig
