[Verse 1]
D
Workers of the world, awaken!
A G
Break your chains, demand your rights.
D
All the wealth you make is taken
E
By exploiting parasites.
D
Shall you kneel in deep submission
A G
From your cradles to your graves?
D
Is the height of your ambition
C G C
To be good and willing slaves?

[Chorus]
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye prisoners of starva-tion!
F G7 D
Fight for your own emancipation;
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye slaves of ev'ry na-tion.
E B C
In One Union grand.
G7 C
Our little ones for bread are crying
G7 C
And millions are from hunger dying;
G7 C F
The end the means is justi-fying,
D C
'Tis the final stand.

[Verse 2]
D
If the workers take a notion
A G
They can stop all speeding trains;
D
Every ship upon the ocean
A G
They can tie with mighty chains.
D
Every wheel in the creation,
A G
Every mine and every mill
D
Fleets and armies of the nation,
C G C
Will at their com-mand stand still.

[Chorus]
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye prisoners of starva-tion!
F G7 D
Fight for your own emancipation;
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye slaves of ev'ry na-tion.
E B C
In One Union grand.
G7 C
Our little ones for bread are crying
G7 C
And millions are from hunger dying;
G7 C F
The end the means is justi-fying,
D C
'Tis the final stand.

[Verse 3]
D
Join the union, fellow workers
A G
Men and women, side by side;
D
We will crush the greedy shirkers
A G
Like a sweeping; surging tide;
D
For u-nited we are standing,
A G
But di-vided we will fall;
D
Let this be our understanding--
C G C
"All for one and one for all."

[Chorus]
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye prisoners of starva-tion!
F G7 D
Fight for your own emancipation;
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye slaves of ev'ry na-tion.
E B C
In One Union grand.
G7 C
Our little ones for bread are crying
G7 C
And millions are from hunger dying;
G7 C F
The end the means is justi-fying,
D C
'Tis the final stand.

[Verse 4]
D
Workers of the world, awaken!
A G
Rise in all your splendid might;
D
Take the wealth that you are making,
A G
It be-longs to you by right.
D
No one will for bread be crying,
A G
We'll have freedom, love, and health.
D
When the grand red flag is flying
C G C
In the Workers' Common-wealth.

[Chorus]
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye prisoners of starva-tion!
F G7 D
Fight for your own emancipation;
F G7 C Am
Arise, ye slaves of ev'ry na-tion.
E B C
In One Union grand.
G7 C
Our little ones for bread are crying
G7 C
And millions are from hunger dying;
G7 C F
The end the means is justi-fying,
D C
'Tis the final stand.
