Biografía:
Corista y pianista a principios de los 80 de Ray Charles, James Ingram saltó a la fama al intervenir en el album de Quincy Jones "The Dude" consiguiendo en 1982 el grammy a la mejor interpretación masculina R&B por el tema "One Hundred Ways convirtuiendose asi en el primer y único artista que gana un grammy sin tener album propio.
Recordado por su interpretación junto a Patti Austin del tema "Baby Come To Me" perteneciente a la banda sonora de la serie telivisiva de 1982 "Hospital General"
