Sus canciones introspectivas y llenas de referencias literarias han hecho de él uno de los más influyentes exponentes de la música de la Costa Oeste de los años 70.
Brillante cantautor, guitarrista y pianista, con los años se ha hecho famoso también por su compromiso con las causas civiles y con el medio ambiente.
