Biografía:
Banda de música progresiva de los años 80s. Sus fundadores, (1982), fueron: Martin Orford, Paul Cook, Mike Holmes, Peter Nicholls y John Jowitt.
En realidad los IQ comienzan en 1976 con el nombre de "The Lens". El guitarrista Mike Holmes, vocalista Peter Nicholls y Niall Hayden se conocen haciendo la fila para comprar unas entradas para un concierto de Genesis. Mas tarde buscarían a un bajista y un tecladista.
En sus comienzos realizaron pequeños shows en colegios locales, (1977).
