Biografía:
Nacido en Liverpool el 5 de mayo de 1959, líder de la banda Echo and The Bunnymen, icono de los 80 con su inconfundible imagen, Ian McCulloch (coloquialmente conocido como Mac) había iniciado su carrera en la escena post-punk con The Crucial Three junto Pete Wylie y Julian Cope. Mientras éstos pasaron a formar Teardrop Explodes, McCulloch alcanzó el éxito con la banda de culto de los 80 Echo and The Bunnymen, la cual abandonó en 1988 para empezar su carrera en solitario.
