Gossip (antes conocidos como The Gossip) es una banda indie rock estadounidense cuya líder, Beth Ditto, es su cantante rebelde y polémica, al hablar abiertamente de su sexualidad y peso. Prueba de ello es su hit y su tercer álbum homónimo: «Standing in the way of control» (2006). Esta canción está escrita por Beth como respuesta al gobierno americano al no permitir el matrimonio entre gays. El tema ha sido remezclado por bandas como Le Tigre y Soulwax Nite version.
