Sam compone canciones acústicas y escribe letras teñidas con asuntos sociales con una base electrónica proveniente de su ordenador portátil, lo que podríamos decribir como "folktronica". Sus influencias incluyen artsitas como Roni Size, Athlete, Gomez, Elbow, The Streets y Rival Schools.
