Finger Eleven es un grupo rock alternativo con toques de metal. Es difícil clasificar a este grupo más allá que del rock, ya que desde su primera creación musical en el año199 con un disco letters from chutney, hasta 2003 con su cuarto album, el cual es homonimo , han mantenido un estilo muy especial, con canciones, a las que podríamos definir relativamente sencillas, sin por ello referirnos a algo común, sino todo lo contrario: el modo en que empiezan las canciones
