Biografía:
Eric Johnson nació el 17 de agosto, 1954 en Austin, Texas, EE.UU., donde el blues y el country tienen una gran influencia, aunque esto no impidió que Eric tuviera también sus miras en otros estilos de música, particularmente rock, pop y jazz/fusión. A los 16 años comenzó su carrera profesional de música en la banda Mariani (1968). Su publicación de cien copias de un álbum de demostración fue uno de los más raros de todas las grabaciones psicodélicas de aquella época.
