Edward Regan Murphy (n. 3 de abril de 1961 en Brooklyn, Nueva York) es un actor, cantante y comediante estadounidense.
Eddie Murphy comenzó su carrera a la temprana edad de 16 años. Con tan sólo 19 años fue contratado como humorista por la cadena de televisión NBC de Estados Unidos para aparecer en el programa Saturday Night Live. Abandonó el programa durante la temporada 1983-1984. En 1993 graba una canción con Michael Jackson.
