Biografía:
Eddie Floyd (nacido Eddie Lee Floyd, 25 de junio de 1935, Montgomery, Alabama) es un cantante y compositor de soul y R&B , más conocido por su trabajo en el sello discográfico StAX en los años 60's y 70's.
Floyd nació en Alabama, pero se crió en Detroit, Michigan. Fundó El Falcons, en el que también se destacó "Sir" Mack Rice. Ellos fueron los precursores de futuros grupos vocales de Detroit como The Temptations y The Four Tops. Su éxito de 1959 "You're So Fine" ha sido señalada por algunos como la primera verdadera canción Soul.
