Biografía:
Hija de un campesino negro, la cantante y actriz, Eartha Kitt nació en Carolina del Sur. Tras la temprana muerte de sus padres, la niña creció con una tía en Nueva York, donde descubrieron su talento musical. A los 16 años entró en el estudio de danza de Katherine Dunham y fue enviada con el conocido conjunto a Europa. En París, la cantante y bailarina negra con la piel extrañamente clara se independizó en el club nocturno "Carrols".
