Down es un grupo norteamericano que practica un Rock que podriamos clasificar como Rock pesado o Stoner Rock (Rock Fumado) por las muchas alusiones al consumo de cannabis en sus canciones, sin dejar de ser una banda de rock duro, combinan en su música influencias de Black Sabbath y de música Country y Blues.
Formado por Phil Anselmo en 1991 (cantante de Pantera y Superjoint Ritual) y contando con estrellas de otras bandas muy conocidas de la escena alternativa norteamericana
