Don Fardon é um cantor inglês que fez parte de uns já esquecidos The Sorrows, grupo algures entre os Kinks e os Pretty Things, com uma inclinação para o R&B americano que Fardon depois seguiu. O tema, The lament... foi um sucesso para si em 1967 e é um sentido pedaço de soul branca suportado por um arranjo tipicamente sunshine pop, com leves toques de psicodelismo.
