Danny Michel

Biografía:

Danny Michel is a singer-songwriter based just outside Guelph, Ontario, Canada.

Born in 1970 and raised in Kitchener, Ontario , he began his professional career playing with the Rhinos before beginning a solo career. In the late 1990s, he moved to Ottawa, where he developed a loyal following with a weekly show at the Manx Pub on Elgin St. In his live shows, he often uses looped live samples of his guitar and other instruments to create a richly layered solo performance.

D
Well she came into my doorway like a whirlwind
D A
Dragging mud and muck across my floor
D G
She sat down in the chair where I was sitting
D A D
Picked up my guitar and made a chord

D
And she said, "your loves like Tennessee Tobacco
D A
And it's killing me and all I want it more
D G
Your hearts a lonely little chapel
D A D
But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors"

D D A D

D
And she said, "Babe, did you forget today is Friday?
D A
And you promised that you'd take me to a show"
D G
I said, "I swear the TV said that it was Monday"
D A D
And she kicked my shin and walked right out the door

D
She took my car and drove down to the legion
D A
Grinding all the gears as she drove
D G
She said, "the old guys there know how to treat a lady
D A G
And by the way your car got towed"

D
I said, "Your loves like Tennessee Tobacco
D A
And it's killing me and all I want is more
D G
Your hearts a lonely little chapel
D A D
But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors"

D D A D G D A D(played like the verses)

E|-0-1-2- (bass E string)
A7 D
Well I try my best and I swear I do
A7 D
And my best is all I know

E|-0-1-2- (bass E string)
A7 D
And I'll never leave this one horse town
A7
If you decide to hang around

D
Well I found her in the morning at the table
D A
Hungover and staring at her spoon
D G
And I tried to make some cakes on the griddle
D A D
She just laughed and sang her little tune

D
And she said, "your loves like Tennessee Tobacco
D A
And it's killing me and all I want it more
D G
Your hearts a lonely little chapel
D A D
But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors"

D
I said, "Your loves like Tennessee Tobasco
D A
And it's killing me and all I want is more
D G
Your hearts a lonely little chapel
D A D
But I love it's dusty pews and creaky floors"
