Biografía:
Crippled Black Phoenix es el proyecto paralelo de varios músicos. Es una banda que cuenta en sus filas con miembros de Portishead, Iron Monkey, Gong, Mogwai, Electric Wizard y otros. Tiene previsto editar bajo el manto de una temática a medio camino entre la literatura histórica y las experiencias personales.
Su música se mueve entre el folk,el rock progresivo,el post-rock y la música ambiental; aunque la banda define a sus propias composiciones como "end time ballads", o lo que es lo mismo, "baladas del fin de los tiempos".
