Biografía:
Cranes son una banda británica cuya música se encuentra en las fronteras del Rock Gótico, Dream Pop y Shoegaze.
La banda se formó a mediados de 1980 en Portsmouth, Inglaterra, por los hermanos Alison y Jim Shaw, el nombre se debe a las innumerables máquinas que se encontraban alrededor de los puertos donde ellos vivían. La característica principal de Cranes es la voz de Alison Shaw, parecida a la de una niña, NME la describió como "una bella sirena estrangulada en una espiral de guitarras".
