Marco Hovius, Arjen Pronk and Jeroen Hobert, who initially played in Dutch band The Prodigal Sons, form 16Down.

1997 - 2001
During the next four years the band keeps a low profile and works on new songs. Their long and hard work finally pays off in 1999 when their demo becomes Demo of the Month in Dutch music magazine FRET. The band signs to Dino and the ballad Subtle Movement is put in powerplay rotation on Radio3 FM and enters the Top 100 and the Top 40.
