Wild Ride - Dwight Yoakam

Intro: / A /

A A
I walked in, there sat Slim
A A
Cleaning up his memory with some sapphire gin.
E A E A
Mr. Pain grabbed my arm, pulled me aside
D E
And said, “Kid, are you ready for the wild ride?”

A A
I looked up, there she stood, I said,
A A
“If you didn’t look so great, I’d say you look good.”
E A E A
She took her hand, ran it up my thigh,
D E
And said, “Cowboy, you ready for the wild ride?”

Chorus:
A
Come on now, Junior, take the wild ride
A
See, can you make it on the wild ride
E
Don’t try no shakin’ on the wild ride
A A
`Cause things start breakin’ on the wild ride

A A
Layin’ on the highway, I saw my mind
A A
In tiny little pieces thrown from side to side.
E A E A
My heart was shattered, along with my pride
D E
Guess you can’t keep ‘em on the wild ride

Chorus:
A
Come on now, Junior, take the wild ride
A
See, can you make it on the wild ride
E
Don’t try no shakin’ on the wild ride
A
`Cause things start breakin’ on the wild ride

Chorus Solo: / A / A / E / A / x2 Then: / A /

A A
I was crawlin’ cross the floor, I tried to leave, when I
A A
Felt something tuggin’ what was left of my sleeve
E A E A
I heard a little voice with a gold-plated vibe
D E
Sayin’ I bought a ticket for the wild ride

Chorus:
A
Come on, Junior, take the wild ride
A
See, can we make it on the wild ride
E
Let’s try to shake it on the wild ride
A
We might just break it on the wild ride

A
Come on, Junior, take the wild ride
A
See, can we make it on the wild ride
E
Let’s try to shake it on the wild ride
A
We might just break it on the wild ride

A
Come on, come on; take me on the wild ride
A
See can we make it on the wild ride.
E
Come on and shake me on the wild ride.
A
You might just break me on the wild ride.

Chorus Solo to end (repeat 2 times):

/ A / A / E / A /
