Dead Moon

Biography:

Dead Moon was a Portland, Oregon punk rock band. The band is fronted by singer-songwriter and guitarist Fred Cole; his wife Toody Cole plays bass, and Andrew Loomis plays drums. Formed in 1987, the band combined punk and country in their stripped-down sound.

Fred Cole has engineered most of the band's recordings and mastered them on a mono lathe that was used for The Kingsmen's version of "Louie Louie."

Last Train (Fred Cole)

INTRO:
D C Em G (2x)

D C
The last train is leaving,
Em G D C Em G
can't you read the signals in my eyes?
I'm standing on the platform
waiting for the one they left behind
If I'd foreseen the future,
could I or would I have changed a thing?
Down a million miles of empty track
just trying to get beyond what people think

CHORUS:
G D C Em G
And I don't know where I'm at

D C Em G

I'm heading down the hallway
trying to find that doorway lost in time
I'd been here once before but
through the years it slowly left my mind
I know your out there somewhere ,
waiting for me just beyond the rise
And if I ever get back
to you- this time I'll realize

CHORUS

Imprisoned in a window,
passengers looking down the line
I wonder what they're thinking,
I wonder what they'll find
As I lit another cigarette
watching for the wind across your hair
And for that fleeting moment,
I swear, I saw you standing there

G D C Em
And I don't know where I'm at
don't know where I'm at
don't know where I'm at
G D C Em G
I don't know where I'm at
