This is the correct way to play this on the acoustic without screwing with your tuning.
other tab had all major and minor chords but it's mostly power chords. I When doing the
at the start, hammer on the 'minor' (so it's A5 at first then Am). For the F5, you need
thumb to grab the lowest note so it's optional. The G sounds like Gsus2 but might be
G at the end of the verse. Lastly, the E5 power chord comes in the pauses between lyrics
is usually strummed just once.

[Verse]

Am F5 E5
Looking back at me I see that I never really got it right (pause)
Am
I never stopped to think of you
F5 E5
I'm always wrapped up in things I cannot win (pause)
Am
You are the antidote that gets me by
F5 Am F5
Something strong like a drug that gets me hiiiiiiiiiiigh

[Chorus]

F5 Am
What I really meant to say
Gsus2
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
F5 Am G
I never meant to be so cold
G
Never meant to be so cold

F5 Am
What I really meant to say
Gsus2
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
F5 Am G
I never meant to be so cold

Never meant to be so

[Verse]

Am F5
Cold to you, I'm sorry about all the lies
E5 Am
Maybe in a different light
F5 Am
You can see me stand on my own again cause now I can see
Am
You are the antidote that got me by
F5 Am F5
Something strong like a drug that got me hiiiiiiiiiiigh

[Chorus]

F5 Am
What I really meant to say
Gsus2
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
F5 Am G
I never meant to be so cold
G
Never meant to be so cold

F5 Am
What I really meant to say
Gsus2
Is I'm sorry for the way I am
F5 Am G

Gsus2
So many things you should have known
F5 Am
I guess for me there's just no hope
G
I never meant to be so cold

[Chorus]
