I couldn't figure out the name of one chord, so
in the Chorus when they sing "lift it", where I put A6, the chord looks like this:

e|---2-------|
B|---2-------|
G|---2-------|
D|---5-------|
A|-----------|
E|-----------|

[Verse]

G C/G
I know that it is freezing but I think we have to walk
G C/G
I just keep waving at the taxis, they keep turning their lights off
Am7 D
But Julie knows a party at some actor's west side loft
A2 C A2 D G
Supplies are endless in the evening, by the morning they'll be gone

G C/G
When everything is lonely, I can be my own best friend
G C/G
I'll get a coffee and the paper, have my own conversations
Am7 D
With the sidewalk and the pigeons and my window reflection
A2 C A2 D G
The mask I polish in the evening, by the morning looks like shit

[Solo]

G C/G G C/G
Am7 D
A2 C A2 D G

[Chorus]

C G
And I know you have a heavy heart, I can feel it when we kiss
C G A6 A6
So many men stronger than me have thrown their backs out trying to lift it
C G D C
But me I'm not a gamble, you can count on me to split
A2 C A2 D G
The love I sell you in the evening, by the morning won't exist

[Verse]

G C/G
You're looking skinny like a model with your eyes all painted black
G C/G
You just keep going to the bathroom, always say you'll be right back
Am7 D
Well, it takes one to know one, kid, I think you've got it bad
A2 C A2 D G
But what's so easy in the evening, by the morning's such a drag

G C/G
I got a flask inside my pocket, we can share it on the train
G C/G
And if you promise to stay conscious, I will try and do the same
Am7 D
We might die from medication but we sure killed all the pain
A2 C A2 D G
What was normal in the evening, by the morning seems insane

[Chorus]

C G
And I'm not sure what the trouble was that started all of this
C G A6 A6
The reasons all have run away but the feeling never did It's
C G D C
not something I would recommend but it is one way to live
A2 C A2 D G
'Cause what is simple in the moonlight, by the morning never is

[Outro]

A2 C A2 Em
It was so simple in the moonlight, now it's so complicated

(Strum every chord once)
A2 C A2 C
It was so simple in the moonlight, so simple in the moonlight
A2 C
It was so simple in the moonlight

End on G
