This is my corrected version of the 1st version by harrigeorgeson. The changes are in the chorus.
Though I did comment on his post, I decided to post this so that beginners could just check the
chords here instead on googling it.

Capo 1

[Verse 1]
A D7
Back when the world was new, the planet Earth was down on its luck.
F E7
And everywhere gigantic brutes called Titans ran amok!
A D7
It was a nasty place! There was a mess wherever you stepped.
F E7
Where chaos reigned and earthquakes and volcanoes never slept!

[Chorus]
C7 G C7
And then along came Zeus! He hurled his thunderbolt- He zapped!
A7
Locked those suckers in a vault! They're trapped!
D
And on his own stopped chaos in its tracks.
C7
And that's the gospel truth!
B7 E7
The guy was too type A to just relax.

[Verse 2]
A D7
And that's the world's first dish: Zeus tamed the globe while still in his youth.
F E7 A
Though, honey, it may seem imposs'ble- That's the gospel truth!
F E A
On Mount Olympus life was neat and smooth as sweet vermouth
F E A
Though, honey, it may seem inposs'ble- That's the gospel truth!
