Bm
Oh I drink and take a sip of it
D
Feelin' like a hypocrite
Em7
Go for more and I don't give a shit
G
I never used to talk, I never used to talk like this

[Verse 1]
Bm
I’m sorry I named the album ‘Montevallo’
D
And I’m sorry people know your name now and strangers hit you up on social media
Em7
I’m sorry you can’t listen to the radio
G
And drive out to the place we used to get peaches down in Pelham

Bm
I know you want your privacy, and you’ve got nothing to say to me
D
But I wish you'd let me pay off your student loans to these songs you gave to me
Em7
Remember the first time you stayed with me
G
Overpacked and drove up, and went to the CMA's with me

Bm
You said that would be you up there one day, just wait and see
D
Two years later, you were a million miles away from me
Em7
And I was the one on stage, drunk barely holdin' on, on ABC
G
Hope your dad still prays for me

[Chorus 1]
G A
Drinkin’ too much, drinkin’ too much
Bm D
Since you been gone, I can’t get gone enough
G A
I'm on top of the world, I’m going down
Bm D
I'm gonna drink it all 'til you're not around

G A
Drinkin’ too much, drinkin’ too much
Bm D
Since you been gone, I can’t get gone enough
G A
I'm on top of the world, I’m going down
Bm D
I'm gonna drink it all 'til you're not around

Bm A D

[Verse 2]
Bm
A year ago I was in a hotel room in Phoenix wonderin' if it's ever okay to lie
D
Cause I knew the truth would make you wanna die
Em7
But I told you everything and you told me to have a good life
G
But you still couldn't believe it was really goodbye

Bm
Every night you'd fill the tub up
D
Lie there for hours, put your face under water, and cry
Em7
I never wanted to be a heartbreaker
G
Turn your sisters and friends into matchmakers

Bm
I know you think my dreams came true
D
Since you been gone, singin' these songs just something to do
Em7
The only dream I’ve ever had was you
G
I hope you know I'm still in love, it's the kind that you can't fall out of

[Chorus 2]
G A
Drinkin’ too much, drinkin’ too much

G A Bm D
G A Bm D

[Bridge]
G
I know this whole thing might seem like a contradiction
D
And the last thing you need is more unwanted attention
Bm
But you changed your number and moved and this is the only way I could reach you
D
So wherever you are, turn it up and listen

[Outro]
G A
Hannah Lee, I'm on my way to you
Bm D
I don't know what I'm gon’ say to you
G A
But I know there ain't no way we’re through
Bm D
And I know there ain't no way, know there ain't no way
G A Bm D
No there ain't no way we're through
G A Bm D
I’m on my way to you
G A
