Tuning: Standard

Listen to the song to get the strumming. This certainly isn't perfect, but it sounds
just fine when played. Email me any necessary changes.

Capo on 1st fret.

[Verse 1]

Am C
Are there no fighters left here any more?
Am C
Are we the generation we've been waiting for?
F
Or are we patiently burning
C G Am G (2 fast double strums with palm mute)
Waiting to be saved?
Am C
Our heroes and icons have mellowed with age
Am C
Following rules that they once disobeyed
F
They're now being led
C G Am G
When they used to lead the way

[Chorus]

F C
Do you still believe in all the things
G Am
that you stood by before?
F C
Are you out there on the front lines
G Am
Or at home keeping score?
F C G Am
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate?
F G
Or would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

[Verse 2]

Am C
They laid out the blueprints, they poured down a base
Am C
Concrete solutions to slow our decay
F
And when they are gone
C G Am G (2 fast double strums with palm mute)
Who the f*ck's gonna take their place?
Am C
Will it be the cynics, the critics galore?
Am C
Cliche apathetic passed out on the floor
F C G Am G
The trusting complicit who collectively ignore

[Chorus]

F C
Do you still believe in all the things
G Am
that you stood by before?
F C
Are you out there on the front lines
G Am G
Or at home keeping score?
F C G Am
Do you care to be the layer of the bricks that seal your fate?
F G
Or would you rather be the architect of what we might create?

[Bridge]

Am
Don't you remember when you were young
Am F
And you wanted to set the world on fire?
G Am
Somewhere deep down, I know you do
Am
And don't you remember when we were young
Am F
And we wanted to set the world on fire?
G Am
Because I still am and I still do
F C G Am
Make no mistake we are not afraid
F C
To bear the burden of repeating
G Am
What they're thinking anyway
F C G Am
Let's raise the stakes on the bet we made
F C
Let's decide to be the architects
G Am
The masters of our fate

[Final Chorus]

F C
Yeah we still believe in all the things
G Am
that you stood by before
F C
And after everything we've seen here
G Am
Maybe even more
F C G Am
And I know we're not the only ones we were not the first

F G Am
Unapologetically we'll stand behind each word
