Delirious Love
by Neil Diamond
from 12 Songs

This is a great song; lots of fun to play. All you need is an acoustic. It sounds pretty
on a Martin. :-) Just hammer this baby out.

Verse 1

A
Pretty soon we were takin' it serious
G
Me and you underneath a mysterious spell

Nothin' I could do and it suddenly felt like a bolt outa hell, I'm telling ya
A
To the sound of the beat I was hangin' on
G
Like a powerful truth it was bangin' on me, wouldn't let me go

Like a shot in the dark she was hot like a spark, I only know

Chorus 1

D
Neither one of us tryin' to hold it down
G
Neither one of us takin' the middle ground
D
Wasn't how to make sense we were thinkin' of
A D
Just the two of us bent on delirious love
A D
Me and you bein' spent on delirious love

Verse 2

Like a ride on a rocket it took us up
Didn't want it to stop and it shook us up good
We were movin' fast just ahead of the law we were beggin' for more and what a blast
Coming round to a new kind of view of it
Never did it before we were doing it now, and I gotta say
It was easy to give, was a reason to live another day

Chorus 2

Neither one of us stoppin' to figure out
What the roll and rockin' was all about
All we knew is that we couldn't get enough
You and me in the heat of delirious love

Bridge

A
I can feel it
D
I can feel it
A
I can feel it

D G

CODA

A
Coming down had a new kind of view of it
G
Wouldn't do it before we were doin' it now

And I gotta say it was easy to give, was a reason to live another day
D
Neither one of us stoppin' to figure out
G
What the roll and rockin' was all about
D
All we knew is that we couldn't get enough
A D
You and me in the heat of delirious love
A D
Makin' time to the beat of delirious love
A D
You and me gettin' sweet on delirious love
