Intro: G C G C Em C G (as many times as you like)

G C G C
Hush now creature, dry your eyes.
Em C G
I know a place where a body can hide.
Em C G
Ooh, I know a place where a body can hide.

G C G C
Last time I saw you, our table was bare.
Em C G
If you hurry and join me, I will lead you there.
G C G C
Sink beneath the water and sink in to the deep,
Em C G
In a pond just off the road that feeds this muddy creek.
Em C G
Ooh, in a pond just off the road that feeds this muddy creek.

G C
Though my days are over,
G C
You know where I'll be,
Em C G
Swim that lost river to me…
G C
Though my days are done,
G C
The waters will always run,
Em C G
Swim that lost river to me…

Interlude: G C G C Em C G

G C G C
Though I'm gone, don't be afraid,
Em C G
We'll meet again on the river someday.
G C G C
The croak of the frogs will lead you true,
Em C G
Wear a skirt of greenstone, so I know it's you.
Em C G
Wear a skirt of greenstone, to drag you to the blue.

G C
Though my days are over,
G C
You know where I'll be,
Em C G
Swim that lost river to me…
G C
Though my days are done,
G C
The waters will always run,
Em C
Find that la- la- lost river… find me!

Interlude:
Em C G
Em C G
Am Em C
C

G C G C
Lay your head on the river bed,
Em C G
Drink from the river and find your way to me.
G C G C
Ooh, rest your head on the river bed,
Em C G
Drink from the river and find your way to me…
x 2

Em C G
Ooh, drink from the river and find your way to me
Em C G
Ooh, drink from the river and find your way to me
Em C
Ooh, drink from the river
