Four years of hard work!

This month of May we celebrated four years on the air. We continue working on the dissemination of this wonderful instrument, thank you for participating in our story!

These chords are based on the acoustic version of the song played on the Piss Couch Sessions, you can find it
here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TN9My0Imc4

The video is helpful for working out the strumming pattern and the timing of the chord changes.

Be aware that different sections of the song use chords that are sometimes fingered differently. I tried to
indicate this with parentheses but they got flagged for incorrect formatting. The chord chart should hopefully
make it clear how each chord should be played in each section.

Hope you enjoy!

[Verse 1]

N.C. C# C#5 D#m7 C#5 C#sus4
She said, "Let's start from the top just rid of everything
C# C#5 D#m7 C#5
Like: the notes in your pockets the text you're always locking
C#sus4 C# C#5 D#m7 C#5 C#sus4
And if it's all the same; forget all of those lines where you mention my smile
C# C#5 D#m7 C#5 C#sus4
You gotta lot of nerve complimenting me through choruses and rhyme.

[Verse 2]

C# C#5 D#m7 C#5 C#sus4
But I know how you get from time to time:
C# C#5 D#m7 C#5
"We'll do this and that oh travel the map"
C#sus4 C# C#5 D#m7
And maybe just for a while I thought you were my re-do
C#5 C#sus4
You thought you could change my name
C# C#5 D#m7 C#5 C#sus4
I could tell by the look on your face whenever I would say..."

[Pre-Chorus]

G#5 A#5 F#sus4 F#5 C#5
But that when I stopped to listen or care
G#5 A#5 F#sus4 F#5 C#5
About anything other than a plan of attack to get me back to where
G#5 A#5 F#sus4 F#5 C#5 G#5 A#5 F#sus4 F#5
You are my re-do or at least a pair of eyes that would notice
G#5 A#5 F#sus4 F#5 D#5
When I couldn't conjure words cause I thought about it too long
F#5 C#5
So I'll leave the steady hands to Sean 'cause we all know I lack

[Chorus]

C#5/C A#5 G#sus4
In the field of conversing correctly
C#5 C#5/C
Without shaking or getting queasy
A#5 G#sus4
Not letting my emotions get involved
C#5
And on a side note:
C#5/C A#5 G#sus4
You stole my heart like I stole your hometown lingo
C#5 C#5/C A#5 G#sus4
With steady hands and strong (steady hands and strong)

[Interlude]

D#5 G#5 D#5
But now we're down to brass tacks
G#5
And we both know it
D#5 G#5 D#5
The odds are in my favor
G#5
Though you won't show it

[Solo]

C#5 C#5/C A#5 G#sus4 x4

[Chorus]

C#5 C#5/C A#5
You etched holes in my brain
G#sus4 C#5 C#5/C A#5 G#sus4
Deep and like you always too out of reach to see clearly
C#5 C#5/C A#5
You sank words into my veins
G#sus4 C#5 C#5/C A#5 G#sus4
Deep and like you too excited to get them out fully

[Bridge]

G# A#5
I know I'm bad with expectations
F#
The ones too large for any moment but I
G# A#5 F#
I can promise expectations grounded for this time around
G# A#5
Let's be the last to leave tonight
F#
'Cause I need time to find the courage
G# A#5
To speak my mind, to speak my mind
F#
Oh hear me out, oh, just this time

[Outro]

A#m F#
They don't think we can make this last
C#
But we got eyes that see past these nights
A#m F#
And we got calloused hands
C#
But these arms aren't tried

At least not yet

A#m F# C# C# x2

A#m F#
They don't think we can make this last
C#
But we got eyes that see past these nights
A#m F#
And we got calloused hands
C#
But these arms aren't tried

At least not yet

A#m F# C#
They just think we are young with broken hearts

Stomping around everyday
A#m F#
So let's stomp around breaking
C#
Young at heart all the way

A#m F#
So let's stomp around breaking
C#
Young at heart all the way
