[Intro] Em G Cmaj7 Dadd4 Em G Cmaj7

[Verse 1]

Em G Cmaj7
Once I was Seven years old, my momma told me,
Cmaj7 Dadd4
go make yourself some friends or you'll be lonely
Em G Cmaj7
once I was Seven years old

Em D/F# G G
It was a big big world, but we thought we were bigger.
Cmaj7 Dadd4
Pushing each other to the limits, we were learning quicker.
Em D/F# G
By eleven smoking herb and drinking burning liquor
Cmaj7 Dadd4
Never rich so we were out to make that steady figure
-------------------------------------------------------------
[Verse 2]

Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Once I was eleven years old, my daddy told me,
Cmaj7 Dadd4
go get yourself a wife or you'll be lonely.
Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Once I was eleven years old

Em D/F# G Cmaj7
I always have that dream like my Daddy before me
Cmaj7 Dadd4
So I´m started writing songs I started writing stories
Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Something about the glory, just always seemed to bore me,
Cmaj7 Dadd4
Cause only those I really love will ever really know me
--------------------------------------------------------------
[Verse 3]

Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Once I was twenty years old, my story got told,
Cmaj7 Dadd4
before the morning sun, when life was lonely.
Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Once I was twenty years old

Em D/F# G
I only see my goals, I don't believe in failure.
Cmaj7 Dadd4
Cause I know the smallest voices, they can make it major,
Em D/F# G
I got my boys with me, at least those in favour
Cmaj7 Dadd4
and if we don´t meet before I leave, I hope to see you later.

[Verse 4]

Em D/F# G
Once I was 20 years old my story got told
Cmaj7 Dadd4
I was writing about everything I saw before me
Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Once I was 20 years old

Em D/F# G
Soon we´ll be 30 years old our songs have been sold
Cmaj7 Dadd4
we´ve traveled around the world and we´re still roaming
Em D/F# G Cmaj7
Soon we´ll be 30 years old
--------------------------
[Verse 5]

Em D G G
I´m still learning about life my woman brought children for me
Cmaj7 Dadd4
so I can sing them all my songs and I can tell them stories
Em D G G
Most of my boys are with me some are still out seeking glory
Cmaj7 G/B
And some I had to leave behind, my brother I´m still sorry
----------------------------------------------------------
[Verse 6]

Cmaj7 Dadd4 | Em D
Soon I´ll be 60 years old, my daddy got 61
D Dsus4 D

Cmaj7 Dadd4 Em

B7 B7sus4 B7

Cmaj7 Dadd4 Em
Soon I´ll be 60 years old will I think the world is cold

Soon I´ll be 60 years old
---------------------------
[Verse7]

Em D/F# G G
